The days become the walls you never wanted

Bedroom door Bedroom door - 2

There's a loop of elastic cord round the door-handle and hooked round a screw in the door frame, the video tapes are holding it open and there's a laundry basket the other side of the gap. Cassie can get round it easily enough but it discourages Spike.

OMFGKittens - Day 19 - 1 OMFGKittens - Day 19 - 2

Cassie on my chair - 1 Cassie on my chair - 2

I finally got through to the pharmacy - same phone number - and the girl who works there not only found my pills but she is bringing them here on her way home at lunchtime!

I can't express how profoundly grateful I am for that. I'm in the sort of state where I can barely imagine riding on a bus without having to hide under the seat. I can manage the hospital because I don't get a choice about that but it's become very difficult.

hehehe!! *Such* cool pictures again :) And Cassie looks like a yummy mummy, so very cooly perched by your shoulder :D

Thats a lovely thing for the girl at the pharmacy to do! Hope you start to feel better... snuggle kittens for extra 'Mmmmmmmmm....'

Cassie is so great :)

isn't it? it's so needed and I'm so damn grateful!

Oh darling, I'd not realised it had got that bad. It's so nice when people do kind things, eh.

Much love.

I shouldn't have neglected my pills. I'm lucky - I can stay very stable as long as I keep taking them and it takes weeks of not taking them to make me crash, but sometimes that lulls me into a false sense of security.

thank you :)

that's SO nice of the pharmacy girl!!

fantastic pictures, cassie looks extremely comfortable on her throne there. :)

it took me a while to work out how to rig the bedroom door. she's been a bit stir crazy for a few days... it doesn't help that Spike is built like an eel and can almost aqueeze through any gap she can!

she sharpens her claws on the back of the chair too, rotten cat.

isn't it nice? it's a half hour bus ride for me to get to the pharmacy. she said I was on her way home. so lucky!

[identity profile] myrystyr.livejournal.com 2006-06-28 01:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Isn't that what the backs of chairs are expressly for? ;) I'm glad my landlord hasn't noticed the damage Weeble did to the couch when it was at my father's house before he let me have it...

It's a good thing all my furniture is my property. The dogs are rather hard on the couches, too...

*sends many, many hugs* :)

The orange/white one is adorable!!! :D

And wonderful about the pills.

Heh. I love that "WTF?!?" look Spike's giving your little jerry-rig in the second picture :)

Doesn't he have the most expressive ears? Love my dogs :)

I love it when we get good service, like house calls and such. people who "get it" are the ones that make life worth living. I don't mean to sound so deep and stuff, it's just the way I see it.

it made me so happy!

I was worried she wouldn't be able to find me when she wasn't here at 2.30 but she turned up just after that and apologised for being late.

the whole thing was just well above and beyond the call of duty. It was fantastic. There are some wonderful people in the world.

[identity profile] chose.livejournal.com 2006-06-28 02:50 pm (UTC)(link)
it's rare to find them, but it's a relief that YES it's not impossible!

Very nice of the pharmacist.

I love the cat photos

Those babies get cuter and cuter everytime I see a picture. You can send one to me *grin*

Nice solution to the door problem...Spike looks like he's looking for a loophole...:D..poor Spike.

Julius sits on my shoulder like that...usually while I'm online. Then he'll turn and use his claws to brace himself against my back...ouch...these two don't go after the furniture, they go for the door jamb...there's a pile of sawdust at the bottom, and a definate curve to it now. i wish they would go for the furniture, at least i own that.

That was really nice of the pharmacy girl..it's always nice when you find someone like that.

I love the kitten pics.

That's interesting, I haven't seen mine playing - although what with having the dogs separated from them and the dogs get agitated if I spend much time shut away from them, I've not spent all that much time with them so I probably just missed it.

they're crawling about a lot, though they haven't come out of the wardrobe yet.

[identity profile] ifpetalsfall.livejournal.com 2006-06-28 04:53 pm (UTC)(link)
It hasn't happened much, but I have caught them pawing each others faces and biting each others ears. Usually the effort has them fall over since they aren't very coordinated.

[identity profile] kyra-neko-rei.livejournal.com 2006-06-28 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Ohhh, the taaaiiil on that orangey one! Cuuute!

Yeah. Kittens make me incoherent.

[identity profile] lizblackdog.livejournal.com 2006-06-28 06:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh! I know people still want to see them but I know if it was me I'd have run out of anything to say about them weeks ago. I'm impressed people are still commenting :)

[identity profile] kyra-neko-rei.livejournal.com 2006-06-29 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
Ohhh, yes, kittens emit some sort of attention-stealing rays. It works unless their mother is turned into an iguana by Barclay's Protomorphosis Syndrome.

[identity profile] christinuviel.livejournal.com 2006-06-28 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm so sorry, I didn't realise you were feeling that bad!! That's great of the pharmacy girl - you'll be feeling better soon ... *big big big big big hugs*

I never let people know till it's over if I can help it. It's not exactly over now but I have the pills in my hand, a visible chemical end to it, and that alone makes life a billion times better - not to mention the awesome act of kindness.

There really are a lot of good people in the world.

[identity profile] christinuviel.livejournal.com 2006-06-28 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
That's very strong of you, keeping it in like that (although just wanna say, if you ever do want to talk about it during it, am always here) ... And yes, there is a lot more kindness in the world than it's usually given credit for - even "the kindness of strangers".

It's the old stiff upper lip thing. Or like a wild animal - I don't like to show vulnerability, you know?

[identity profile] vanessalp.livejournal.com 2006-06-29 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
In that bottom right pic, Cassie looks like an Egyptian goddess. She really did take over, didn't she?
