Every street is paved with gold

Social Security have the form and are therefore not going to stop paying me. I hope.

I have my tablets, and I've put in another prescription request so that the next lot will already be there waiting long before I run out again.

My fridge is being delivered tomorrow morning. The Dorset Reclaim website evidently needs updating, because it says there that they charge £10-£40 for fridges - however, none of them were cheaper than £45. That being the case, I picked the nicest of the £45 ones... they had some big full-size ones for that price, but I really don't need a big one or one with a freezer compartment (I have a large freezer that my mother's friend Marie gave me when she bought a new one) so I picked the nicest and newest-looking small one.

I also have a glorious new sofa. It's a sort of sofa-bed futon on legs thing. It's made of matt black tubular steel with a big duvet-like cushion thing that goes on top. I had no intention of acquiring furniture but I fell in love with it... it's just absolutely perfect for the flat. And the two sofas I have are both very nasty - they were cheap and flimsy even when they were new, and I was given them for nothing when one of my sister's friends sold her holiday cottage. The one I usually sit on is broken. It's so flimsily constructed that I shall have no trouble lugging it out to the front of the building by myself to make room for the lovely new one.

Also, Dorset Reclaim charge £12 for delivery, but that's per vanload rather than per item. So I've saved £12 by getting the sofa as well as the fridge. Sort of.

The only thing I don't like about it is that the cushion-duvet-thingy that goes on it is blue with a yellow pattern and has felt tip pen stains on it. Clearly the previous owner had rugrats. However, I can pick up a very cheap grey duvet cover from Asda or T.K. Maxx to cover that. It'll look magnificent in grey and black.

That's much, much better.

glad you're feeling better. I also wanted to say that what you wrote in your last post was spot on about how I feel about the LJ, as well. I do it to regurgitate stuff, but at the same time, it leaves a funny feeling in my mouth. it's complicated, this LJ thing.

You know, futons can be fun
you pull of the cushion & you have a ready frame for bondage, and it's ADJUSTABLE!
