Well I never quite understood that phrase really. I mean it is IMO an illusion because if we're heading someplace and we're suddenly told the destination is changed or even worse, we don't get what we signed up for, I don't think I would see many thrilled faces. To me that expression is just a way to save your face and upholding some kind of dignity when you've been srewed over big time.
