I'm thinking I might do Blogathon this year, since [livejournal.com profile] wirenth brought it to my attention.

If I do, I'll be supporting the Dogs Trust:

if I had more cash, I would. but right now's a bad time. I just spent a boatload of money on something I really needed to buy, and we're basically broke now. :[
I took a look at the Dogs Trust website and I shouldn't have. I'm in tears because I want ALL THE DOGS that are on there, and I'm also sooooo sad to see that so many of them need homes. not that I wasn't aware of it before, but you know. bah.

Cheer up. They're no-kill - the dogs still need homes but at least they're not about to be gassed because you can't take 'em home.

That's where Spike came from, that's why I'm picking them - that, and they're just very good.

whew then. I didn't think they were going to get hurt, anyway, but still, it's too bad there aren't more people who are willing to give GOOD homes to those lovelies.

If only more landlords would allow pets, I bet most of the rescue dogs and cats would have homes. I think all landlords who don't allow pets should be forced to spend a week in the local animal control shelter where they do have to kill animals if they don't get adopted soon enough in the euthanasia room.
