What a dog!

He's a tramp
But I love him
Breaks a new heart
Ev'ry day
He's a tramp
They adore him
And I only hope
He'll stay that way
He's a tramp
He's a scoundrel
He's a rounder
He's a cad
He's a tramp
But I love him
Yes, and even I
Have got it pretty bad...

Happy Fourth Birthday to James T. Spike Reynolds!

It's far too bloody hot to trek out to the river, unfortunately, and I can't take him out by himself this year without a Squishsitter, but there'll be a few celebratory tug games and we'll go out and play ball this evening when it's a bit cooler.

In an amusing coincidence, the Animal Rescue Site is also celebrating its fourth anniversary - and when I clicked this morning, this was the picture I found on their page:

It's in his honour that I'll be supporting the Dogs Trust with my 24-hour Blogathon this year - they're responsible for bringing us together and I can never, ever repay them enough.

I love you Spike. Here's to many more years!

and i hope you all get a break from
the heat soon.
could not survive here in the south of the us without air conditioning.

but remember traveling up north to
where it would be hot for a week without.

that's the trouble - Britain isn't conditioned to expect this sort of heat - and is has become hotter over the last twenty years - so air conditioning isn't thought of a necessity. Even here in the hotter parts of the country there's a large chunk of the year it wouldn't be necessary.

oh, but I could sure do with it now.
