It's cooled off dramatically the last week or so here. I'm actually adding hot water to my bath again (though not much), and last night I needed to have a sheet over me in bed to be warm enough. big improvement!

Wow!
I'm happy you're not melting so much!

Isn't it? I wish we had proper cold winters here though. It hardly freezes and never really snows; just gets cold and muddy and dark.

it still beats summer though. I never have any trouble getting warm but cooling off is much harder.

We used to have proper winters here; with below-freezing temperatures and snow and ice storms that covered the trees with crystal and made them sparkle, and nights where it was fun to snuggle under a blanket and drink hot cocoa, and the lake froze over... no more. Fall goes right into spring and even the annual flowers often overwinter. AND we have mosquitoes in FEBRUARY!

No, to trouble staying warm here. As soon as I sit down I get at least two cats and a big dog...

Okay, so it's not just me. This past winter, I commented to my mother that I never see England with any snow around Christmas anymore. Doesn't matter what show or programme I watch, it might have a little flurry, but it's mostly just mud and slush. Is that all of England or just the Southern areas?

There's still snow up North, but it's been getting perceptibly warmer for the last fifteen years or so. It sucks.
