So I had a pile of cooked-chicken offcuts and gristly bits and was continuing the "teach the dogs to find cats on command" project.

Me: *holds up chicken* Squish, where's Cassie? *turns head pointedly towards Cassie*

Squish: OMGCHICKEN!! *sits* OMGCHICKEN!!! *wags tail* OMGCHICKEN!!!! *yaps hopefully*

Me: Squish, where's Cassie? *advances on Squish so he'll trip over Cassie who's by his feet*

Squish: CHICKENCHICKENCHICKEN... hang on, I think I know the answer... OMGCHICKEN! *trips over Cassie* *looks at Cassie*

Me: YESSSS!!! *feeds Squish chicken*

Squish: OMGYAYYYY!!!

Me: *takes fresh piece of chicken* Squish, where's Cassie? *looks pointedly at Cassie*

Squish: OMGMORECHICKEN!!! *sits* *wags tail* *notices where I'm looking* OH YEAH I REMEMBER NOW! *looks at Cassie*

Then Spike wandered over because the kittens were asleep and he smelled chicken. I decided to try it with him.

Me: Spike, where's Cassie? *flicks eyes towards Cassie without moving head*

Spike: *follows my gaze* Um, she's right there, Ma. You blind or something?

Me: Yes! *feeds Spike chicken* *feeds Squish chicken too since he turned his head when Spike did*

Spike: Mmm, chicken. Thanks Ma.

Me: Spike, where's Cassie? *keeps eyes on Spike this time*

Spike: *looks at Cassie* Right there, Ma, like I told you the first time.

Me: *feeds Spike chicken* Squish? Where's Cassie?

Squish: Um, what was the question again?
