It makes me feel strangely alive

So I am walking the dogs this morning, and I see a cushion. As in, a whole-body-sized cushion, designed to be tied onto a sunlounger or the like. And it's in the middle of Woodbury Avenue, and traffic is swerving around it. Now Woodbury Avenue is already narrow enough that people have to stop and let each other through if anyone's parked there, and I didn't think it was a great idea to leave the thing there. So I went to move it.

I'd only had one cup of coffee, or I'd have realised what was about to happen.

It is! I felt a bit bad though, as I suspect that cushion had been blown (or teenagered) out of someone's garden, and they might have wanted it back. It was quite newish and - until it got Spiked - in quite good nick.

I couldn't stop him though. i picked the thing up and he was on it like a terrier on a rat - I don't have long enough arms to have kept it away from him and he was far too quick for me besides. So I just gave up and got the giggles. :D

to be fair to Spike, if I had got my "No" in before he had hold of it, he would have left it. I was just a bit too dozy and he was a lot too fast.
