Must be getting early; clocks are running late
Things that have made me smile today: the latest turn of events at
hogwarts_live. These people are so brilliant and I've been reading them so long (over a year now, I think) that it's going to come as a serious mental shock - and a disappointment - when the last book finally comes out and none of their plot and original characters are in it. They rock my world.
Am all nervous because people I like a great deal are coming to visit tomorrow, and I (and my home) feel small, shabby, grubby and inadequate in every possible way. However, this is normal and I will get over it and have fun, I always do. If someone reminds me to ask them and if there's time, I'll see if I can persuade one of them to come for a quick one in the park with my dogs and work the camera so I can show you a video of Spike climbing trees and acting the fool, and perhaps Squishy's bouncy infectious joy when someone plays ball with him. No guarantees but I'll see if it can be done.
in the meantime, you'll just have to make do with yet another kitten video.
This one is nearly four minutes long and includes Shona and Elda hanging upside down off the couch, Squish being a good boy (he stole the kittens' chocolate wrapper later, though) and Spike being Spike.
ETA: The breakfast cereal fandom poll:
bloolark wins the prize for having my favourite breakfast,
topbit and
grimprime jointly win the nerdy references prize (nerd love!),
miz_geek wins the Self-Sealing Stem-Bolt Award for best explanation of an "other" vote and
vulcankitten wins the Heroic Dead Guy prize for being the only person not me to get the Lexx reference. YAYYYY!!!
ETA 2: Oh yes, and
huntingdon wins the Wet Fish Slap for being the only one to (correctly) point out that I am a depraved sicko. Love you!
