Ah, bah... *embarrassed face*

I knew it was somewhere with a language I couldn't speak a word of, anyway.

trust me... Finnish is not even in the same universe as Norwegian (or Swedish for that matter)

Stole Hattifnattarna and now I'm getting greedy... I love Lilla My...

Try the books. They are bloody brilliant - amazingly well written, haunting and deep and funny.

[identity profile] huntingdon.livejournal.com 2005-11-03 02:45 pm (UTC)(link)
They come in books?

Do you have any you can bring to Oxford?

Not sure which, if any, I have copies of any more, but if I can, I will.

Those are cool! What are they from?

Apparently I'm not up on the latest in pop culture. *lol*

Ah, Moomins are neither pop culture, nor latest - they're pretty exclusively European, though. They're from a series of books written by Finnish author Tove Jansson.

Not to mention the T.V cartoon...

True - that was a bit crap compared to the books though, I always thought.

IT'S ADDICTIVE!

I've had my paid account less than three months and I'm already giving serious consideration to buying more icons!

I had a bunch of the Moomin books as a child. My favourite was Comet In Moominland.

I wonder what happened to them... my parents probably threw them away when I left for university. :(

MOOMINS!!!!!!!!! God, that takes me back....
