1. DS9: Dukat, of course. Why do I love him so much? Can I fit all the many reasons into one sentence? Probably not - but: Sexiness, style, ruthlessness, bravery, moments of clarity. Sacrifice of Angels. I can't watch that death scene again, even five years on - there was a day in Bournemouth once, the centre of my world growing cold in my arms while I shrieked at the paramedics. Don't even ask. I won't go there again.

2. Babylon 5: Londo Mollari. He gets all the best lines, and that accent... and the complex interweaving of expediency, sacrifice, patriotism, pettiness, doom and redemption. Awesome.

3. Lexx: Clearly no one's going to get this one, so I'll tell you: Prince. Ain't he grand?

4. Farscape: I can't believe it took Goldenballs three tries to remember Scorpius. Ruthless, obsessive and kinky... I would say more but after going through this list I need to go change my cooling rod...

5. Star Trek (TOS): James Tiberius Kirk. For his charisma, for that look in his eyes, for boldly going - yeah, yeah, I know. Cliche. But it wasn't a cliche then, that's my point. And I know most women seem to fancy Spock more (and I do fancy him as well) - but it's not all about the fancyin'.

6. Firefly: Jayne. It's all about the hat. :D

7. Buffy: Spike, of course. Who else? Hot, snarky, souled, kinky, and the horniest sex scenes ever shown on TV in living memory - what's not to love?

8. Angel: The gloriously sexy Wesley Wyndham-Pryce. Cultured, intelligent, brave, not afraid to get his hands dirty and kinky as hell. Remember the spine-tingling scene in Season 4 where he fucks Lilah while Justine is bound and gagged in the wardrobe in the same room? Oooooh...

9. Voyager: The Doctor. (Though Neelix runs him a very close second) Unrequited love, personal growth and some of the funniest and most touching scenes ever, especially with Seven - such chemistry!

10. I've run out of TV series... this will work just as well for Harry Potter, though. And Goldenballs has correctly divined my love of Snapey snarkasm. On a more serious note - there's the whole former Death Eater/redemption/trust thing that strikes a personal chord with me. Did I ever tell you how it felt to have a key to my mother's house again, two years after she had to change the locks to keep me out?
