Handy Household Hints from Black Dog HQ: denture soaking tablets are better at toilet-cleaning than toilet cleaner. There was a nasty discoloured patch on the bottom that the limescale-dissolving blue stuff wasn't shifting, but it's gone now. The tablets only cost 30p for a tube of thirty, too.

I know diet Coke's supposed to work as well, but I don't have the foul stuff in the house. The toilet cleaner would probably taste better.

I'm almost the least houseproud person I know but I do hate to have a nasty toilet...

They work well on thermos flasks and narrow necked vases too. But that's probably a bit too "How Clean Is Your House" to admit to.

Actually, I always claim that just because I'm a slob and untidy doesn't mean I'm a dirty slob ... :o)

Hey! That's a good idea!

I like a clean toilet too (though I can deal with dirty other things just fine).

Those tablets are good for cleaning rings and necklaces too, although I must remember to get some for use on the loo...

the other day i vacuumed the lounge and wiped down the kitchen tiles... but the bathroom - that I am saving for an 'I must punish myself with heartless backbreaking labour' day ;)
