Can't type well enough to IM today, have watched Farscape, porn and Blake's 7 until my eyes and points south are sore, have walked dogs, have bought chocolate, all the BBS's are moribund and there's bugger-all going on on LJ. Don't have enough money for the naked sauna (I curse the day they started charging admittance for single women. They had a bunch of local bag ladies turning up for the free coffee and showers and making the place look untidy, so now it costs a fiver) and besides, I'm bleeding, which accounts for some of the cranky.

Er, ok.

Right now I'm trying to kill a couple minutes before I go pick up a package. It was delivered to my university's mailing center five and a half hours ago, but when I went over to pick it up two hours ago, they still hadn't catalogued it and put the slip in my box. So I went outside and read the boring sports magazine I have a subscription to coz it came with my credit card but never read because sports are boring. After a while I checked again. No slip. I went to the dining hall, read some more of the magazine, and had a drink. I went back to the mailing center. No slip. I gave up and came home for an hour or so, and read about Jack the Ripper to pass the time. Soon I'm going back, and the damn slip better be there now because the center closes in half an hour and I WANT MY BOOK.

It's received more compliments than any of my other "dog with vaguely amusing or fannish caption" icons. Looks like I hit on the exact right combination of text, colours and proportions for once.

Apparently they mostly didn't get naked, but they came and sat in the coffee bar clothed and smelly at all hours of the night and sponged free coffee. So now the coffee's still free but they charge admission, and that makes it very hard for me to get there.

a fiver's not that much, but the place tends to be dead till quite late (i.e. long after the last bus) and when you add a fiver to a bus there AND a taxi back it starts getting tricky.

They are pretty funny. crusherdisciple posted about farting on her cat and how offended he was, and I remarked that with dogs it was always the other way round.

So I made the icon, to commemorate Squish's worst farty moment ever, the day after he ate an egg mayonnaise sandwich. If I had houseplants or caged birds, I swear he would've killed them that day...
