I'd christen your abode as 'Animal House' if my uncle and aunts' in Liverpool didn't already hold the title - at present nine cats, two dogs, assorted small birds, and four terrapins. It's not even like they have a very large house either.
For a while there all of my pets were "blue" or looked blue and it was an accident. The three I have currently either are "blue" (a blue merle dog, blue point Siamese) or appear blue until you inspect them closer. (I have a seal point Siamese mix that looks blue point from a distance, but if you part her fur you see it's brown at the base of the hair.)
She hardly bothers swatting him any more. it doesn't discourage him in the SLIGHTEST. She only does it now if he's between her and somewhere she needs to be - although he often is, because cat gerding is his vocation...
Squish gets swatted a lot because he and Cassie have invented a sort of game. Whenever she's busy being petted or having a staring match with Spike he sneaks up and tries to lick her bum before she notices and thwaps him. She usually wins but he's gotten a few licks in.
yep, that helps some. it's healing. I just got especially sweaty last week visiting Mum and going to Grimmauld Place all in one journey and came home all red and sore.
I need to send ALL OF ME somewhere nice and cold. or get myself a house-sized walk-in fridge to live in. gah.

I think my record for simultaneous animals was 2 guinea pigs, 1 Syrian hamster and 23 Russian hamsters - high numbers, but small critters!
