8pm, feeding time for dogs.

Me: *fetches 2lbs of rabbit from fridge, puts half in Spike's bowl, heads for Squish's bowl*

Cassie: I hear the FRIDGE! Gimme food! *begs for rabbit although she had a bowl of turkey an hour ago she didn't finish*

Spike: OMGCAT!!! *starestare*

Squish: I have a cunning plan! *swiftly eats Spike's dinner*

Spike: OMGCAT!!!! *starestarestare*

Me: *rolleyes*

*splits Squish's intended dinner between Spike and Cassie*

*feeds Cassie in the bedroom out of Spike's sight*

Spike: Wot no cat? Might as well eat then. *eats*

Squish: *whines* WHERE'S MINE????

Dumb? My "dumb" boy executed a masterly plan to eat all the food, and was only foiled at the last minute because I know him very well, and I recognised that particular Squish-shaped absence and silence that means he's being wicked.

mind you, my supposedly "smart" dog just dived into a hedge full of dry goosegrass on his walk. I've just spent ten minutes picking burrs off his belly, his wang and between his toes.

Yes, but I don't use commercial pet food, it's full of grain and fillers and nasty shit - I feed them all fresh raw meat.
