He's a little subdued here. Cameras tend to have that effect on him, but he's Spikey enough to give you an idea of his perfect Spikeness.

also, please to forgive camera wobble. One day I'll succeed in teaching the dogs and cats to hold the camera steady and which buttons to press, but I'm not holding my breath on that one.

...in other, animal-related news, Elda Orange Kitten wins the prize for being the first kitten to overturn a dog's water bowl on herself. I was so sure it would be Pirate Shona too!

She's still the smallest kitten (Blade is the biggest, but you wouldn't know it; he's an invisible ninja kitty). But just in the last week, she's blossomed. She's suddenly overtaken Shona and become the most extroverted fun one at the front of the pack.

Last night she was having a riotous time racing down the hallway and skidding on the floor there. And tonight she is playing chase with the dogs.

She was born last and she was the last to open her eyes and start running about and stuff. She was always healthy but until this week she was always a few days behind the others.

OMD! I'm convinced Brandy and Spike are long lost siblings! Brandy does the exact same thing and makes the exact same noise. I really wish I had a camera so I could show you. Maybe I'll make a phone post with her making that noise.

I think she does, too, though clearly she's by no means anything more than a mutt. But seriously, the more I read about Spike, the more I look at Brandy's behaviour (and some of her markings) and think to myself that she really does seem very collieish. Just, you know, lazy.

Brandy would never forget to eat. Ever. I showed my dad the video and he just stared, glancing between it and Brandy. He agrees that I should make a phone post of her making her noise so you can tell me if it's that Wookie noise. We know she's not being rude or aggressive when she does it, but we'd like to convince my mother that it's normal.
