Struggling with the cats, running with the dogs

Well, the store-bought furry cat toys on elastic didn't last long (thank you Squish) so I've gone back to doing it Blue Peter style: Take two corrupted DVDs, three pigeon feathers and some string...

In other news, after a walk in the woods full of wild plum trees this morning and a short conversation with [livejournal.com profile] captain_ice - I have a cunning plan!

All this healthy eating's affecting my brain. Or something.

I think I still have my copy of Shardik; not certain. There's another one set in the same world, Maia, which is also very good - there's a lot of sex, nastiness and nasty sex, though, so I don't know if you'd fancy it.

Tailchaser's Song is Tad Williams, I think. I think I read it once.

I read Maia...that's what made me want to find Shardik again.

Shardik was a harder read (or maybe all the dirty bits just made Maia easier for me!) but the two together make much more sense. I especially loved seeing some of the same characters younger - that was interesting.

OK, now I need to read it again because of this conversation. I can see Maia from here but I have a nasty feeling Shardik is at Grimmauld Place - if I even still have a copy, I am not at all certain. Arggh!
