Certainly the original is the best; absolutely perfect.

The others, though - they have something to offer. Kirsty MacColl and Simon LeBon are two of my favourite voices and I do love hearing them do it. And the Leningrad Cowboys - well, they're the Leningrad Cowboys.

Weird :), I've been listening to A LOT of Kirsty MacColl the last few days, her Anthology (Best Of) collection to be precise. I've also been sad for over a week now having reminded myself of the tragedy behind her death and actually went so far as to dedicate my LJ to her memory.

I wish I'd seen her in concert, she had such a beautiful voice and such an awesome vocal and style range. I did see Evan Dando live, with The Lemonheads. I loved The Lemonheads recorded stuff, but he sucked live...ironically I saw him in the same venue as I saw TISM who I posted about, and I only ever went to 2 concerts at that venue *Cue spooky music*
