the last time I felt compelled to commit art was shortly before my old dog Scampi died.

rozae asked me to show her, so I took six photographs with various camera settings, none of which worked particularly well. The original drawing was in white/grey/brown pastel on black paper. it looked better before I sprayed it with fixative, but what can you do?

i think that one is the least bad. The rest of them are here.

I know it's not easy to take photos of art, but it looks like you did a damn fine job capturing the subject. I know that the subject is a sensitive one, too, so I really appreciate you sharing it with me/us.

Ooh, that looks awesome. I love working on black paper, but it is a bitch to photograph/scan. I recommend, if possible, taking it into direct sunlight and trying to photograph it without a flash.
