i'm gonna go with all our pets are waiting for us so we can live happily ever after together, and try not to think too hard about the rest.

Oh hell, that's what I hope for. And if there's any retention of one's individuality and awareness after death, it would make sense that you'd end up in the same place as other dead people (and I don't need to tell you I'm including pets in that "people".)

I've got a feeling that answer will either turn out to be "nothing" or "all of the above".

The question appears to be changing. In the RSS feed it is a question about what happens when you die and that is what you appear to have answered. However when I click through it becomes about Stem Cell research.

When we die we cease to exist.
Stem cell research is both good and dangerous and is as worthy of government funding as anything else.
