...what, you wanted a sensible entry? It's two in the damn morning and I'm caffeined to the gills, you gotta be kidding!

No, instead of making sense I'm going to tell you about the TrekBBS Admirals' Lounge Mascot. No-one knows where he came from; spocked was the first one to draw our attention to the grossly obese rodent with the bad attitude who'd taken up residence in our personal corner of cyberspace:





This was our first sighting of Bloaty. Scary, ain't he?

It got worse. When the Admirals (well, we were Commodores then) went on a mission, there he was, boldly gnawing where no rodent had gnawed before...



He was a rodent of sophisticated tastes:



The worst was yet to come, though. A terrifying creature was shortly to be let loose on the unsuspecting world:



WE ARE BLOATY. RESISTANCE IS FUTILE. YOUR BIOLOGICAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL DISTINCTIVENESS WILL BE GNAWED INTO SMALL JAGGED PIECES AND ADDED TO OUR NEST.
