Dunno, I think bald looks odd, almost childlike. Besides, I don't like pain and finally, hair growing back itches like a mofu. I was shaved partially once for a surgery with one of the pregnancies and YEOOUCH itchy growing back.

If my man (or any man if I was single) didn't like it as nature made it, he could go elsewhere. Given that unless a woman is really fugly, it's a woman's market as regards sex, I wouldn't have "gone without" for long.

Oh, I agree with you about completely bald. I only waxed what a friend of mine calls the "working area". That completely bare little girly look is so very not me.

I think that you don't get the itchiness with waxing as opposed to shaving, which is why I didn't shave - I've done that once before and the itching is exactly why I never did it again. But I do prefer the feel of sex (especially oral) without the hair there - it's not just about the man, trust me for that!

I don't think you get itching, but you might get red irritation bumps. I seem to recall those popping up a few days after the initial wax. And, I agree...sooo much better without the hair!

Oddly, I found that waxing my armpits hurt a lot more than my crotch. But everyone's pain tolerance is different - mine has always been on the high side, plus there's that being a masochist thing.

Well, the pit (I've only done one side so far, get the other later tonight) was all right when I actually did it. But it's giving me a dull ache right now, an hour or so later, that I'm not liking so much. And there seem to be a lot of stragglers left. I may have to pluck those. I think it was too long for the wax to do a really good clean job or something. I haven't used a razor on my pits for years - the itching and razor burn were always really bad there and my husband liked hair anyway. But I fully intend to get laid and/or take more naked pics fairly soon, and I'd just as soon not startle people with the fur...

From what I've heard, it's common to get stragglers even when the pros do it, anywhere it's done. You could have the random hair here and there that doesn't grow in the same direction as the other bunch does.
