I don't know enough about hardware to have thought of that for myself. And if I hadn't had offsite technical support (meaning topbit), I'd have had to get my Mum to drive me and Charlotte to the shop, leave her there for them to look at, and probably pay another £50 or so for the guy in the shop to open up the case and replace the power supply, and then wait for Mum to be in the mood to go and pick Charlotte up again... it would have been a huge pain in the arse.
Just one more reason he makes me happy; as though I needed any more.
