I'd blush, but I'm not sure I'm capable of it. Thank you. I will point out that I'm older than dirt (I'll be FORTY this year!) and I've had a long time to get used to myself. I have very clear memories of times in my twenties when I desperately wished for invisibility or a floor-length paper bag to walk round in.
There were two tricks to it, I found - the first is to realise that the rest of the world is mostly far too busy being painfully self-conscious themselves to notice you being self-conscious. The second is to fake it... that works because it doesn't stay fake for long. The appearance of confidence breeds real confidence.

I'm getting a little better at doing them - been practising with the dog ones - but my image manipulation skills are still very much at the stone knives and bearskin stage. LOVE those.
