Well, a combination of overenthusiastic posting and (over?)enthusiastic modding has killed the Commies' Lounge deader than Empok Nor for the night... Terran is still down, reading the journals of random people who share any of my interests has begun to pall (although I did find someone very cool that I know slightly from my Border Collie list - hi Meg!) and I've already posted like three quizzes in a row. I think I've exhausted my possibilities for Internet entertainment for the time being.

The only reason I'm not in bed already is that Spike is curled up on my spot and I hate to turf him off it. Bless the boy... we had a lovely game with his rope tugger earlier on. I love to run my hand down his back when we're tugging, and feel the muscles of his back bunching and tensing. No one ever believes how strong he is until I've let them hold the lead or the tugger... then they land on the ground with such a look of surprise on their faces... He's not a big dog by any stretch of the imagination (maybe 40lbs? and 23" at the shoulder) but what there is of him is tritanium and pure energy...
Knowing for certain that something is over is infinitely preferable to running in mental circles wondering about it. All the tension and angst are gone, and I feel better than I have in weeks. Thank you...

Spike and I just danced round the living room to 'I Got You Babe' - we don't do it quite like the canine freestyle competitors, whose every move is choreographed and rehearsed for weeks or months before a performance; we have a little repertoire of moves and cues (I bend my knees: he weaves between my legs - I shake my hips and he stands up - stuff like that) which we just do to the music as the mood strikes us. We have to use a toy when we dance, because he gets so excited he has to bite something - he's torn my clothes more than once. He's a lovely little mover, though...
