As compensation for spending yesterday en famille, I borrowed my sister's LOTR DVDs last night - I had yet to see the movies. Fellowship of the Ring didn't disappoint, though there were a few odd little diversions from the book that I found vaguely jarring - and the Ents looked very strange. Highly enjoyable though. I put Two Towers on afterwards, but I knew I wouldn't be able to stay awake for much of it and I was right. She doesn't have ROTK yet but one or other of us should be getting it for her birthday in less than a month, and if it's me I shall make a point of watching it first...

A large number of B5 episodes just plopped though my letterbox while I was writing this entry. (big happy, grateful grin)

Also, the latest Enterprise should be ready to watch in about four hours. And Mum and sisters are all off to a party later, especially arranged so that sort-of sister N. can catch up with all the old family friends she hasn't seen since she left England twenty-odd years ago - I was invited but declined in horror. There are a few of these people I like well enough in small doses, to be sure, but there's at least one that I won't willingly place myself in the same room with and a party involving a great number of them is not my idea of how I want to spend the weekend. So I shall have the house to myself this evening as well. Even the freezing rain outside and the dogfight I just had to break up aren't spoiling my mood...
