Meme nicked from [livejournal.com profile] altariel1: When you see this on your friendslist, quote Oscar Wilde.

Cut for being absurdly long - my personal favourite Wilde poem. )

I love that. It's like getting drunk on words - so gloriously, perfectly over-the-top.

In other news - I'm happy. Not a lot is going on but I'm enjoying life.

There is something on my mind, a possible life-change that gives rise to some very mixed feelings, but it's in the early stages of discussion and may never happen; though I may write an entry about it later. [livejournal.com profile] entorien knows what I mean.

I really didn't want to go out shopping in the pissing rain, but I was completely out of coffee... however, once I was actually out there I enjoyed myself. Bought dog food (in this household, that means fresh beef mince and frozen chicken) and coffee and sliced gala pie and tobacco and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and milk and probiotic yoghurt - the gala pie and the yoghurt both knocked down so cheap it would have been rude not to.

Rain makes both the dogs skittish and bouncy - me too, come to think of it. We careered up Woodbury Avenue galloping wildly in all directions, aquaplaned across the car park, skidded and splashed back, Spike jumping in trees and puddles and Squish mincing to avoid them and me grinning up at the sky. I loved it. Now we're back, Squish has stopped chasing his tail and I am wrapped in a blanket chatting to [livejournal.com profile] captain_lila in a miasma of wet dog and percolating decaff. I am ready for anything. I love you.

ETA: Who here has read both Brinkmanship and Lila's Klingon stories? There's a sequel/collaboration in the works, and we could do with a beta reader... someone to help us stitch the patchwork pieces of two untidy minds together and neaten up the edges. Anyone?
