I just had an idea for yet another a new LJ comm - apartment_dogs. Specially for the yardally-challenged dog owners among us like you and me. Whatcha think? You in?

And if you are, see if you (or Jef, he's good at names) can think of a snappier name than apartment_dogs.

Spike's been in one of his humorous moods today. I stood up to take the dogs out this morning, and I stopped in the hallway to yawn and stretch before putting my shoes on. Just as I reached full stretch, arms above my head, mouth open, he bounced silently up behind me and thwacked me square on the arse with both front paws. I barely stopped myself from faceplanting on the floor. I looked round and he had his ears back, giving me his best broad Gotcha! grin. Don't ever let anyone tell you a dog can't laugh!

Elda and Callette and Shona got him back for me. Elda got his tail, Callette got his ears and Shona's developed a disconcerting (to him) habit of jumping over him instead of going round.
