I went to get something out of the fridge, and knocked the big plastic tray on top of the freezer so that its entire contents - every dog toy I own - fell onto the floor. Spike was waiting by my feet, wondering if there was going to be chicken liver (there isn't, because he hasn't been allowed to eat anything after 8pm) - instead, BALLS RAINED FROM THE SKY.

He's now carefully shredding one of the softer ones with his back teeth. Thank you universe.
