Note to self - if you must defrost chicken parts for the dogs in a hurry on top of the bedroom radiator, make a note of the quantities and try to arrange them so they can't fall down and be discovered up to a week later.

Thanks to Squish for pointing me to the source of the funny smell. What with the flu, it took me a couple of days to work out why he had his nose continually wedged under the bedroom door.
