I'm mixing a couple of dollops of the glop into her usual minced meat, so she can't overbalance on that.
I've read up on taurine on websites and she's getting both turkey and heart as part of the regular meat ration - that ought to be enough, no?
I've been looking at commercial cat foods, but there isn't a decent pet-supply shop within easy reach and the stuff the supermarkets have is all low-end.
Turkey and heart is fine, that should give her her daily taurine. Cats are obligatory carnivores anyway, so she's probably happy as Larry to have the meat!
Frankly, the ingredient lists on even the better commercial foods make me uneasy. And she does love her meat. She even ate tripe - though turkey and rabbit are her favourites. I've been meaning to try her with prekilled feeder mice at some point.
Those'd be good for her right now, with the egg yolk in them and all - and they liquidise easy, so if she was wary of eating them I could blend them with the mince till she got used to the taste.
There's nowhere local I can get 'em but I might be able to order online. And they're cheaper than mice. Bonus!
