I'm getting very tired of this "no sleep" thing. For some reason I haven't fallen asleep before 6am since Mum went into hospital. Today it was 8am, and then the phone woke me up at ten and again at twelve - first sister E wanting to know how much Maisie food there was in Mum's freezer and then my Dad with the news that sister T is having labour pains - and by then it had got to the point where I had to get dressed and take dogs out and feed cats anyway (last walks and feeds were at 2am, since I was wide fucking awake then anyway.)

Icons: this will take some time, especially as my brain is all spongy. [livejournal.com profile] bulletslc did me a brilliant one really fast (at the top of this post!). Mine will not be fast, but they will happen.

Maisie: going to London today with sister E, just when I'd got used to walking over there every night.

Spike: I may be sleepy but the cold nose in the arsecrack doesn't actually make me get dressed any faster. pack it in!

watching season four of Spooks last night. Finally fell asleep halfway through episode 6. I'm trying to be unspoiled but there's a little giveaway on the "personnel" page on the website which tells me my favourite character at least makes it to the end of season four. Yay!

Any suggestions for what to do with the bedroom door so that Cassie can get in and out but neither the dogs or small kittens can? She's doing a great job but she's getting stir crazy - on the other hand she's very unwilling to have the dogs in the bedroom and it won't be too much longer before the kittens are up to leaving the wardrobe, but they'll still be way too small to play with the dogs. I guess I need a solid barrier that's low enough for her to jump. can't think clearly enough today to see how to rig that though. maybe a hook and eye arrangement to hold the door open just wide enough, combined with a low barrier?
