Interesting that the Firefox pre-release trial-thingy downloaded itself automatically without being asked, but I had to go hunting for the official upgrade.
But I have my search engines back, and 2.0 imported the bookmarks all by itself. My only little whine is that new, fast automaticdaffodils Firefox is incompatible with the lovely minimalist black theme I usually use, so my Internet is back to flat and grey with brightly-coloured icons. It's not pretty. But it works. So I won't be firing the 'Fox.
In other news, I was out shopping last night and ran into a Cats Protection lady outside Asda (in fact Spike introduced us, by almost pulling me over in an attempt to faceplant himself in her crotch). We had a talk and it seems I can be treated as the kittens' foster rather than a cat-eating surrender monkey - i.e, they can rehome Saffron for me but she can stay here until a permanent home is found. Not only that, she agreed with me that, while six months may be the ideal age for speutering, when you have mixed genders growing up together it's a little risky to wait that long. I do NOT need teenage pregnancies in my home. She said they'd speuter the lot for me. Gonna phone her as soon as I've walked the dogs. Yayyy!
