"coping far better with far worse trouble": maybe and maybe not. But other trouble does not disable the very skills one needs to deal the way anxiety will. Doing anything at all in that case makes you a hero. PTSD sucks hard.
Hang in there. I know that sounds stupid. But when dealing with the administration, it takes a lot of hanging.
