That was fun.
Hunt liked my dogs. Much fun in the park and they both behaved very well, apart from yanking the leash more than usual.
I'd forgotten how much I loved the Russell-Cotes. I haven't been there in years.
I'm a little drunk now. Bought Bailey's & sherry for the housewarming - still not online at the flat though, because NTL have messed up - apparently whoever I spoke to on the phone failed to complete the transaction so I didn't get a valid PIN number which is necessary to install the broadband. So my lovely Charlotte computer at my lovely flat is about as much use as a doorstop until Monday. Bah! So we came back to Mum's to fire off a couple of quick posts before he had to go catch his train back.
My phone works though! Who wants my number?
Brought the Bailey's with us. I was sitting on the floor with my glass when I heard lapping, and there was Spike helping himself to my Bailey's. Toerag!
I've just spent an hour trawling my friend list for a meme or a quiz or something and I can't find one I like - I suppose it's time to follow the herd with this one, then:
There's been an accident, and my memory's been wiped. I have no recollection of who I am. Tell me about myself. What do you know about me? What kind of person am I? What are my likes and dislikes? How did we meet and how long have we known each other? Is there one thing in particular that stands out about me? Tell me who I am.
I've not answered this one for anybody yet, though. Have to do that in the morning...
(Edit: I've done answers for some of you now. Will get to the others when inspiration strikes...)

Second: Good to know everyone survived the day intact. ;)
Next: I know you love animals, dogs especially. You've had a remarkable life and have emerged from some dark times as a strong, caring person who knows a lot about a lot of things. You're good to talk to. You like people and your animals; you dislike people who think they know about animals (but who actually have no idea ;)).
We met, I believe, in your dog club thread in Miscallaneous last year (finally someone I didn't meet in the commie lounge :D), and we've talked quite a bit since then.
One thing? Not really. You're just a really good person. We're all lucky to know you. :)

Your life is larger than your dress size and you are larger than your life. That is, the things which matter to you span beyond more than those which are purely physical, and the things which matter to you are of lesser import than the person you know yourself to be.
What kind of person are you?
You are no kind of person, for you are not kind. Kind people care without caring, and you care with great care, for the things which you care about can hurt you, so you choose them carefully. And, once chosen, those choices you will stand by whatever the pain or joy they bring. No friend of fair weather art thou. Which is not to say you are unkind. You reserve your vitriol for your enemies, who you make as not-lightly as your friends, and those will find that retribution in their meant and their drink and each raindrop that descends on them.
What are your likes and dislikes?
You like squashes, especially in soup. You dislike lumps in gravy and negativity in people. You care for animals more than people, and even those people you carefully select as worthy of the air they breathe come but first equal with those who need thy care but lack the voice of words to be called people. For to you, people are, in general animals and animals are the people you cherish. And in the right individual ( not people in general), a touch of the animal is no ill thing for thee.... You like wave dancing, with water to your waist while the moon washes your hair and the wind cleanses your mind. You like people who can talk, and even more those who also know of listening. You like the solitude of your spirit, the merry crowd of all the facets of your personality bantering and fencing with safe-balled blade against and with another at three in the morning. You like sex and you fear love, but you love to have been loved and to have played the other game and won.
How did we meet?
We met in the middle of a war. We parted not long after a revolution. When first we met, you didn't understand me, and liked me less. But you still offered my thy stallion's saddle and together we rode away... Later you didn't understand me and found that one of the things which attracted you most to our company. and we rode much further and down many strange paths. We know we have never known each other, though we know we can happily spend the rest of our lives trying to rectify that. We know that we can start a conversation, and leave each other mid-sentence, and complete that sentence with nary a pause after many a year apart. We know we can each tell the other we love them and not fear the consequences, and that is rare for both of us. We know we have loved so, though lips have never touched and never will. Like we could give a damn.... (G).
Is there one thing that stands out about you?
Yes.
Who are you?
YOu are not who you were, though a fragment of her spirit still lurks in the shadow places within thee. You are not who you will be, for that person will have walked different shadows and seen different suns set in both joy and sorrow. You are who you have always been, my friend, my sparring partner of the mind, she who washes my shirts ( the shoulders especially bear the mark of thy cleansing, and thy breast would bear any tear I brought there), a proud spirit that seeks not redemption, but the path to tomorrow on its own terms. And if the multiverse doesn't like it, then it will come to understand. Because you will make it so. In the hope that one day you too will understand...
Of course, I'm a male, so a total idiot and know-nothing. You should ignore me. Really. You should... (G)
