...Damn, I feel lame now, but ain't going naked sauna-ing tonight. Whole bunch of small reasons that tipped the balance when I added them together.

First, the kitchen blokes didn't leave till gone five (they went at four yesterday) and they're coming back at 8am tomorrow, which meant arriving there later than I planned - too late to do the other errand in Springbourne, and possibly too late to have a really long relaxing happy time there - and having to wake up absurdly early.

Also, it's really cold today and it's just starting to rain. And I'm thinking of walking out of there all pink and soft and steamy and hot and damp, then waiting for a bus in freezing rain, and then the half hour walk with the dogs back from Mum's in the same freezing rain... it's a discouragement.

The third reason's a bit more nebulous. It's a really nice place but the men that were there the other time were... well, rather a dull bunch. And just very... I don't know, local. Next-doorish. Not inspiring - OK, some of the men in the London spa were also pretty dull but there were some beauties to make up for it.

I just have this awful mental image of being groped by lots of uninspiring men and not enjoying it. I also have a really good mental image of enjoying it hugely, but both images are at about equal strength right now. So when I put that together with the weather and the time restriction and my alarm clock being set for 7.30am and some fun threads at TrekBBS (yes, I am a nerd) and the fact that the spa's not going anywhere and I can still go tomorrow or Sunday or whenever... not going tonight won.

Ok something is decidedly wrong when you turn down something like this! Just because of an early morning and some cold rain? Christ on a surfboard! This is a day to remember!

Well, but it's open every day! Nothing wrong with waiting for a day when it's not raining and I don't have to be up early, surely?

:P You're talking to a woman who impersonates the word lazy... So yes, I understand... ;)

It's kinda borderline. If I'd gone out two hours earlier it definitely would have been worth it, but I don't really like going and leaving the kitchen guys here. Yesterday they forgot to lock my front door when they left - didn't matter then but it would matter quite a lot if I wasn't going to be back till midnight.

And it's really cold. It's OK walking dogs and moving around, but standing at a bus stop after spending hours in hot water - not so much.

Not complaining. I just don't want to go from a hot bath straight to standing still in it...

Sorry your plans didn't work out...! But thankfully like you said, it's not a specific date or anything and you can go tomorrow! (I can understand completely why horrible cold drizzly weather puts you off going out, heh)

Btw, which fun threads?? *is a nerd too* =)
