I *was* going to go Pirates (especially since I have the icon for it :D) but then I remembered Kitty Pryde is a Ninja, and things got a lot less clear... so I'm fencesitting!

Pirates, they are a law unto themselves...and they get all the booty at the end of it! Or, at least they would if they would stop burying it everywhere! Whereas Ninja's have so many rules and regulations...jeeez, they can never seem to just let their hair down and go for a rum-fuelled orgy in an opium den. Unlike Pirates..ar!!!

Plus, things inspired by pirates - The Goonies, Pirates of the carribean, Monkey Island, Treasure Island etc etc (Plus many ace Piratty novels are set in and around Dorset, therefore we stand a good chance of being pirate ancestors!! How cool is THAT?!)

I chose pineapple. I couldn't choose between the ninjas and the pirates, though the no-budget movie I was in a few years ago featured ninjas in the employ of a supermarket tabloid. (I played a reporter who found Elvis Presley alive, suffering from amnesia, and singing REM songs in a karaoke bar.)

Toronto has a huge Portuguese community - in fact, I used to attend a Scout troop in that area, near my paternal grandparents' house - so it may be available there. I'll have to have a look next time I'm in that area and give it a try.
