You scored 93% Beginner, 100% Intermediate, 93% Advanced, and 72% Expert!
You have an extremely good understanding of beginner, intermediate, and advanced level commonly confused English words, getting at least 75% of each of these three levels' questions correct. This is an exceptional score. Remember, these are commonly confused English words, which means most people don't use them properly. You got an extremely respectable score.

Thank you so much for taking my test. I hope you enjoyed it!

For answers to the Beginner section only (the first ten questions), visit my blog: http://shortredhead78.blogspot.com/. I will post the answers to the other questions as soon as possible.

The Commonly Confused Words Test

Hmmm.

Moving swiftly on. Nothing really to report, since I've spent the last two days lying around doing bugger-all while the crampy bloated feeling the IUD gave me passed. I finally found the software that allows Charlotte to play DVDs, (RealPlayer, Windows Media Player and DivX couldn't do it, but PowerDVD did - it's a commercial programme, but it was on one of the software CDs that Nigel gave me) so I shall visit the rental place and the library today, perhaps.

Have met several neighbours now. One rather friendly male redhead was washing his car when I took the dogs out yesterday morning, and an older guy who lives directly underneath me turns out to have two dogs of his own, an elderly Jack Russell and an elderly Retriever cross. I asked him how noticeable it was from below when the Black Pack wrestled with each other (they generally have a spell of doing that in the evening) and he said he'd heard it but it wasn't loud enough to bother him - I asked him to make sure and tell me if it did. It's my one lingering fear about living here - if there are complaints about my dogs I could end up losing everything. Why I don't leave them alone here - if I'm going to be gone more than five minutes I walk them over to Mum's. They're still a little too inclined to bark their heads off at the cats, rabbits, Staffies and squirrels out of the window and I really wouldn't like that to happen when I'm not here to stop them. It's already improving, though.

And I found me a new off-lead park, thirty seconds' walk up the road. There are a lot more hedges and trees, so it's been very hard to keep Squishy's attention on me, but he does come when he's called... well, most of the time. Needs work. Spike, of course, I couldn't shake off without explosives - but he did find a gloriously muddy puddle to lie down and roll in, and made a point of jumping on me several times afterwards to share the wealth. Lovely.

In true nerd fashion, I need to compare Spike to a Star Trek character: Hunt, you've met him, you know I'm right - remember Jack in DS9's Statistical Probabilities? I'm right, aren't I? Huh? Huh? Yes? I'm right, you know I'm right...

Squish, thank Dog, is more of a Morn. Only prettier. Easily satisfied - but oh, I do wish he'd shut up...

Edited (again)to show this off. [livejournal.com profile] shatna, you so rock!
