ANNOUNCEMENT!Evil Elda's adult name made itself known to me this afternoon. She will henceforth be known as Saffron. She would like to assure everyone that she will remain as evil as ever.
( Eleven assorted cat pics )Very sleepy today. I wonder why?
It's been one of those very quiet yet good days. Spike consented to fall asleep snuggled against my chest for almost an entire episode of ER. Squish was snuggled against my legs.
Later on, we all went to the park and played football with children. I am continuing to let them offleash by turns, and Squish continues to not bugger off. He's getting better and better at remaining focused on me. He actually did get a bit distracted today by some other people, but where a year ago that would have made him completely forget what we had been doing and bugger off, he simply greeted them, picked up his ball again and came running back to me. Squishy is a Good Dog.
Spike disturbed Cassie on the couch this afternoon - I think he may have stepped on her tail when he jumped on the couch to stare out of the window - and she gave him a whack that made him yelp and go into abject-apology mode at her. Squish was so awed that he had to come and lick her face appeasingly as well. She also had some sharp words with Naamah Kitten when Naamah tried to investigate her stitches (they come out on Friday. Incision is healing lovely and uncomplicated). To think I worried about the kittens mauling her! She rules the house with an iron paw under her pretty white velvet gloves.
Also, I have discovered how to get Shy Hamish to come and sit on my shoulder. I simply need to be eating a tuna salad sandwich. Love that boycat!
