Quickie trip to One Stop sans dogs. I can't take them there any more. Last time I went, it was five minutes before closing, and the cashier brought the metal grille down over the window while they were still tied outside. Squish was already starting to be nervous about One Stop because of the noise of the childrens' footballs hitting the chain-link of the tarmac ball court next to the shop, but the metal grille traumatised him in a big way. I don't need to take him there again to know I shouldn't.
I was very glad I'd left them home, because there was a Rottie/GSD puppy waiting outside. I say puppy, but Bruce was eleven months old, hadn't been neutered yet (due next month, I asked) and was the size of a small house. Spike would have been seriously unamused. I got my face thoroughly licked and my nose nibbled. When I got home I was sniffed over thoroughly and suspiciously - Where the hell have you been?
Squish has started pointing the phone every time it rings. LOL!
