Well, no stitches or superglue - the nurse flushed the cut with antiseptic and we've got antibiotics to guard against infection. We're leaving the cut open, since he isn't worrying at it, but I'm going to bandage it before taking him to the park or anything; it's an easier option than trying to keep Evil Bugger on a lead for three weeks.

Please join me in wishing the people who left the broken glass in the park a painful and inconvenient cut on their foot - preferably one requiring stitches. Perhaps including a nasty but non-life-threatening infection... I won't wish them worse than that, since Spike isn't badly damaged...

On a more positive note, the nurse was highly impressed by both his physical condition and his social skills, especially when he held up the right paw for inspection without being asked. :)

Ah shoot, I forgot to say that .... leave the wound open.

That way it can heal, and clean itself before it closes, otherwise infections can grow under the closing.

Lol, my dad, is such a selfmade medic.

He has been bitten quite a lot, the last time he had a really big gaping wound, and the doc almost had to puke, and he just sat there giving directions, and telling the doc not to close the wound cause he felt it was better not to :D

Well, your Dad should know, he must have dealt with shitloads of stuff like this. I was going to leave it open anyway, although I might stick something on it for today, since Max is here and they're getting a little boisterous - just to stop him bashing the cut about.
