It's a MEEEEEME! Copied from [livejournal.com profile] urbpan: Put your music player on shuffle (mine always is anyway) and use it to answer the following questions.

How are you feeling today?
Wild Horses - Elvis Costello and Lucinda Williams.
"No sweeping exits or offstage lines
Could make me feel bitter or treat you unkind." Half true.

Will you get far in life?
(Some Kind Of)Balance - Bonepony. Too far and not far enough.

How do your friends see you?
Does Your Mother Know? - ABBA.
"Take it easy, try to cool it, girl..."

Will you get married?
Slap And Tickle - Squeeze.

"If you ever change your mind
Which you do from time to time
Never chew a pickle
With a little slap and tickle
You have to throw the stone
To get the pool to ripple." - Um. I'd say the answer is "highly unlikely but not, I suppose, utterly impossible."

What is your best friend's theme song?
Barroom Hero - Dropkick Murphys. HAHAHAHAAAA!!!

What is the story of your life?
Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again - Bob Dylan

"An' here I sit so patiently
Waiting to find out what price
You have to pay to get out of
Going through all these things twice."

What was high school like?
Hellfire And Damnation - The Men They Couldn't Hang.
"Sometimes I think that I'm in Hell" NO SHIT.

How can you get ahead in life?
Songbird - Fleetwood Mac.
"And I wish you all the love in the world
But most of all, I wish it from myself" That's the kind of getting ahead I like to do.

What is the best thing about your friends?
I'm Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down" - Graham Parker.
The answer I'm taking from this - one of the reasons for choosing a lot of people on my f-list is that you help me keep myself real. You help me choose the standards I want to live my life by and you make it harder for me to drift into complacency or self-delusion. That is sometimes a little painful but you make me a better person by it. Thank you.

What is today going to be like?
Walking On Sunshine - Katrina And The Waves. Well, it beats having the sunshine walk on me! Yayyy!!!

What is in store for this weekend?
Awake Soon - Sarah Slean.
"So beauty came with agony
But sweet
Oh every love is sweet" OH HELL YEAH.

What song describes you?
The Chain - Fleetwood Mac. I have no idea how that might describe me. The song I like to describe me is Led Zep's Black Dog, but thanks to my musical gundog it's no longer on my playlist. Sigh.

To describe your grandparents?
Throwing Stones - Grateful Dead. Well - they are dead.

How is your life going?
The Great Song Of Indifference - Modena City Ramblers.

I only speak three words of Italian (those would be "va fan culo") but the English version goes: "I don't care if you sink or swim, lock me out or let me in
Where I'm going or where I've been, I don't care at all

I don't care if the goverment falls, implements more futile laws
I don't care if the nation stalls, and I don't care at all"

What song will they play at your funeral?
Barrett's Privateers - Signal Hill.

"She was broad and fat and loose in stays" - Hell yeah, put that on my gravestone!

How does the world see you?
Can't Stop Killing You - Kirsty MacColl.

"When you're out there in the dark I'll come rushing through your brain
When you wake up in the morning I'll be coursing through your veins
When you're swimming in the water I'm the hand that drags you under
I'm the lightning that strikes you just before you hear the thunder" - I use this as a sig on message boards sometimes.

What do your friends really think of you?
The Bitterest Pill - The Jam. Fuck, I hope not!

Do people secretly lust after you?
Real World- Buzzcocks.

"In the real world we both win when we play the same game" - that means that I hope they wouldn't feel it needed to be secret.

How can I make myself happy?
Frozen Puck To The Head - Captain Tractor. Heh heh heh!

What should you do with your life?
Love Of The Common People - Stiff Little Fingers.

"Living on Government hand-outs
Water in the milk from a hole in the roof
Where the rain comes through
What can you do? You can't move.." Um.

Will you ever have children?
Sledgehammer - Peter Gabriel. That's a big emphatic NO there.

Sunshine stamping on my head is how summer usually makes me feel - such a relief to have the wind and rain today!

and yes - I have a lot of good parents on my f-list (and two that will definitely be good parents and are wanting to be pregnant) but it's not a thing I ever wanted to do myself.
