Callette - Day 19 WALKING! The cat sat on the mousemat
OMFGKittens - Day 19 - Callette and Shona Shona - Day 19 - WALKING!

They can walk now instead of floor-swimming, and Callette and Shona have been introduced to Spike. They didn't care - all the kittens have been smelling the dogs on me all their lives so Spike was just part of the furniture, but he nearly burst!

I didn't take pictures of the introduction, but I will when it's all a bit less new and scary for me. Spike was on his best behaviour, holding his breath, not moving a muscle though his whiskers and the tips of his ears were vibrating with pent-up excitement - but when I took them for a walk right afterwards he gave me the very best full-on rollercoaster shark-fishing barking steer-roping alligator-wrestling Spike experience in his power. Aww!

Spike loves her too!

I honestly do want another cat - especially a calico. If we ever move (we have put a offer on a house, it was accepted over FOUR MONTHS AGO and the vendor still hasn't found a home. *gnaash*) If we move by the time the cats can leave their mother (12 weeks, isn't it?) I may certainly consider it. If not we live in a ***tiny house*** (one good bedroom, 6'7' box room and a 15' x 10" lounge)and it would stress Arrietty too much. :-( So, keep your fingers crossed that we move soon. We'd have a great house for a cat....*when* we move. *sigh*

Eight weeks is the youngest I would consider letting them go, twelve weeks'd be good. OH YAY!!!

I'm crossing my fingers like MAD now. I trust Cats Protection to find good homes for them but they're a rescue and I won't know who they go to - they might allow me to pass on a card with my contact info on it with the kittens but they certainly won't pass any info to me. I so want to keep in touch with them.
