Kitten fun!

Ran some chicken-and-heart mince through the food-processor for them today, to see how they fancied it. They seemed to quite like it when they had to lick it off their paws after stepping in it, but not hugely enthused. Blade was far more interested in pouncing on his mother's tail, and, later, climbing onto the bed unaided by boxes. Shona and Elda were having fun wrestling and jumping on each other.

Also, Shona can very nearly climb over the litter-tray box now. They won't be penned up very much longer - although Cassie is even more paranoid than I am, and smacks them down whenever they get more adventurous than she likes. She continues to impress me with how very, very good at this kitten business she is. She also smacked hell out of Spike for getting more of his face into the room than she approved of. Tough little cat. She's also clawed me quite nicely, though that was accidental - we were playing with a dead day-old chick...

Yea, Cassie! It's amazing how all the insticts can come together and make a great mommy--but Cassie knows her mind, too. Good girl. :^)

Great pics once again, though Callette with her tongue out is hilarious! If you'd not described their experience overall, I'd have said she was demanding tuna. ;^)

They haven't had fish yet. Am going to get some raw whole ones in the next few days...

They seemed to enjoy licking the chicken mush off their paws - they didn't seem to make the connection with licking it off the plate, though. But there's time for that.

Sorry--twice over now! Had to go back on my post--and I still missed another crummy typo. **blush**

Yeah, they'll pick it up in no time. It's soooo fun to watch them learn all what to do, and what they like. :^)

Damn, those bottom pics are so cute! It's like she's saying, "BAD MOMMY!" or something like that. I can so picture her as a human child, but then she wouldn't be so pretty.

Oh, yes.

*loves*

Sisters are both gone and they're the ones who know Lady Across Two Streets whose cat has the kittens, so I need one of them with me to go over and see said kittens. Filling the meantime with attempting to copy someone's fan art of Captain Jack Sparrow in handcuffs, and debating modifying it to make it Dukat.

*evil, evil grin*

They're all cute, but Callette seems to really have a well developed personality.

She likes showing off for the camera. In fact they all have distinct personalities showing now - Shona is brave and wicked, Callette is an attention whore, Blade is a Serious Hunting Cat and often walks by himself, and Elda likes to sit and watch the other three and think hard about things before diving in.

Isn't it fun to watch all the personalities come out?

I still remember that. Watching them discover themselves...

apparently the kids have all been too busy with the kittens to manage [livejournal.com profile] monochrome_mob?

Oh, man, I have GOT to stop looking at kitten pictures! I've got eleven of my own, don't need any more, nope, nope, nope. Adorable, though! Does that little orange and white one have a single black spot or have my eyes gone as bad as I think?

Your eyes are fine! Elda has two black spots and is technically a tortoiseshell.

Eleven? Wow...
