Go right ahead! I should warn you, though, that I moved to the middle of nowhere about a year ago and haven't found anyplace nearby that works with birds. So I just watch them out my window and contemplate getting a rehab license.

That's Buddy the Harris' Hawk in my icon. He is an education/falconry bird at the place I volunteered at in Virginia. Funny guy.

really? it must be the particular angle of the photo or the light - but he looks very un-Harrisy in that picture. His beak doesn't look yellow enough and his head looks too flat.

or maybe I'm just wittering because I ought to damn well know a Harris when I see one? *embarrassed*

but he does have a very eagley look there.

You're right - that's a funny angle, and I think the color is a bit washed out. And you don't get the pretty reddish feathers, either.
