Heehee! As I was looking at that first picture I was thinking "Squishykisses!" - I guess that is the appropriate blessing after all! Give him lots from me - you know I just adore that dog. :)
Honey I keep thinking of Allie as a puppy, and she's 13 freaking years old! I know exactly how you feel, and when he's blue eyes and grey bearded you're probably still going to have trouble believing it, because I have trouble believing Squishy's ever going to feel grown up too. :)
Oh, he DID!! I defrosted seven so Spike could have some too, but Spike was fixating on a cat and wasn't interested, so Meatball McSpotted-Dog got them ALL!
Blade is gargantuan - he's easily twice Shona's size and weighs roughly as much as Cassie now, at least as far as I can judge by picking both up. And he has huge paws. I guess he takes after his dad because he's nothing like his Mum.
I admit, it's a notional birthday in Squish's case, based on how old we were told he was and a pin in the calendar - we could be weeks out in either direction. but I like September birthdays - mine is this month too.
Hmmm. I have a Swedish Meatball icon for internet dog treats and a fish head icon for cat treats, but this - originally intended for snide comments during Internet drama - is the closest icon I have to anything a beautiful blue bird might like.
Me - 24th. And I'll be forty this year. Same age as Star Trek, me...
Ha ha. :) I don't know when any of the cats were born save for Gus. We're not a big celebrator of birthdays here to be honest, but....
You may be the same age as Star Trek, but I was born on the same date as the premiere -- September 8th. One of my exs was a huge Trekkie, so I know these exciting things about myself. And, I'm sorry to tell you this? But Theo would be all over the meatballs. His favorite thing ever is greasy sausage or pepperoni on pizza, the greasier and unhealthier the better. :)
Hahahaa!!! I love finding out unexpected stuff like that about animals. When John and I hand-reared the orphaned squirrels, we discovered that they went absolutely batshit for fried breaded fish sticks. And my red-tailed hawk used to adore ice cream and would hurt you badly for a cheese sandwich.
oh, and Squish has been attempting to eat acorns lately, since they've been dropping off the trees and the pavements are covered in green ones - so far I've mostly managed to stop him, though. That can't be good for dogs.
Everytime I go get them out of the freezer to cut up for treats for 'later', I have to haul out some extras for 'now' and usually just hand them one whole ball each -- frozen -- to keep them off of me while I get the training treats ready to go.
...Jouster loves them so much, he goes cross-eyed. Its really funny.
Happy Birthday, Squish! That's some meatball cake, there...:D
Julius and Giddy say Happy Birthday, too...:D

Squish goes all bouncy and alert, it's the cutest thing. I can't believe he's technically not a puppy any more... he so obviously is...
