There's a movie meme doing the rounds of my f-list right now - mostly the TrekBBS crowd. I'm not doing it because I don't remember how many movies I've seen, and I already know I have no life. I'm just wondering, is there a reason why almost none of you used an lj-cut when you posted it?

I love you all. But it's a damn long meme...

It is long, and that is one of the main reasons why I put in a lj-cut. It still was a crappy list, as that is why myself and pktrekgirl have started making own lists.

Mine is still being worked on, but I plan on using tables with mine. not sure how many movies will be on it. Also could do as a thread on trekbbs.

I don't think there's a meme in the sense of something you click on and fill answers in - it's just a great long list of movies people might or might not have seen, and apparently anyone who ticks more than 100 "has no life" (or maybe they just happen to like movies!)

it's interesting to see who's seen what if you're into movies. it just takes up an awful lot of space...

When I had my own blog (non-LJ), it was a pain doing a cut. It just didn't work right, so I never did it. I love how easy LJ makes it to do a cut.

I think a whole lot of people would be really happy if LJ had a feature where posts over a certain length uncut didn't show up on your friends page, or else showed up as just a link instead. Like instead of a huge long thing, just a single line that lets you know that "So-and-so has posted a very long post which you may or may not want to read, and we're informing you instead of letting it take up huge amounts of space on your friends page."

That's one major reason I never use my Friends page
I just click around directly to my friends' ljs.
I never use their Fpages either as I have quite enough to do just keeping up with people I know.
