Very short vid - There's a moment near the end of this one where I burst out laughing. That was because a sopping wet Spike had jumped RIGHT OVER Mum and her friend. But I was pointing the camera wrong. I fail at vids.

Another very short vid - This one was meant to be longer, as was the one before it, but this new camera is WAY too easy to switch off by accident. I fail again.

Slightly longer.

Also starring: the famous [livejournal.com profile] daffodilblonde and a very dear friend of hers who is here visiting and has known me since I was small and pink and hairless. She brought pics of me and her son naked together at age two. I'd show you, except I has no scanner.

Throop Mill is somewhere I used to go a lot when I lived at Mum's and only had one dog; it's further away now and my two together are more of a pain around other dogs and I've not been there since I moved here. But today I discovered, since we went there by car, that there's a straight road that connects up and it's not as far as I thought, so I shall be doing this again and take some better vids.

Squish went SWIMMING! He's never ever done that before. Except one time when he went in after some ducks, but this time he just went in for the hell of it! That's why all the still pics are of him; that, and Spike never held still long enough.

Also, please note presence of STRANGE DOG and my two being her friend. It helped that she was a sweet, sweet Staffie girl-puppy who threw herself flat on the ground whenever another dog approached. Even my poor socially retarded Squisher had no trouble being friends.

hmmm, this post seems to be missing a story (based on the tags). :)

Yeah, I was in mid-edit - trying to embed the videos apparently b0rked everything to hell. I have replaced them with links and all is shiny!

Awwww!

Squish looks just like our neighbor's dog (who I don't know if she's just socially retarded to an extreme degree or actually aggressive, but she's really reactive).

Yeah. I have it double-barrelled - Spike is reactive and hates dogs, with only a very few exceptions. Squish likes dogs, but he was raised in isolation, doesn't speak Dog well and is fearful - you can see him giving off paranoid mixed signals whenever another dog comes in sight, wagging his tail with his ears in happy mode, hackles raised and BARKBARKBARK. My poor retarded baby.

That looks like fun, and a great way to stay cool, too.
