it was vegetables (onion, shredded white cabbage, cauliflower and carrots) fried till soft and then simmered to near-mush in a soy sauce, ginger, garlic, sesame oil and sherry gravy and served over basmati rice. it was almost vegan (I am not vegan: I threw a chicken stock cube in the vegetables and used butter on the rice, but it could have been made vegan very easily) and it was really fucking delicious.

if I had felt like putting a tad bit more effort into the shopping there would have also been whole garlic cloves, chopped celery and baby corns in it. but it was still damn good.
