so the DWP are supposed to pay me at a reduced rate while they decide the appeal, but naturally I've heard nothing. I wonder how long I'll be expected to live on air and hope?
i ought to phone them to find out how things stand, but I don't think I have the spoons for another two hours of call queuing muzak punctuated with smug recorded messages.
grrrrr.

The muzak is dreadful. It's a classical thing - a good one, or it would be if the version they used wasn't played on a computer. And it's always the same tune no matter which department you call, and it goes on for HOURS.
I ought to be able to remember tha damn tune's name but right now I can't. I think it's Mozart, only rendered badly and tinnily enough to make the poor unfortunate bastard spin in his grave. And every few minutes they interrupt it so that you think they're answering, only it's just the recorded message telling you you're in a queue and thanking you for your patience.
I AM actually a pretty patient person but the performance it takes to actually speak to a human being makes me want to break and shoot things.

I've moved on from Jingle Cats to Christmas music about dogs to make me feel better, so I'll share it with you

I can find a lot of general information online, but no way that i can see to check on the status of a specific claim.
They stopped my payments a full week before I got the letter telling me why they'd stopped it, so the same thing may happen this time around - I'm just trying to get hold of my Mum so I can get her to check if anything's been paid in.
